The story is told over six parts. The book gets its name from the nickname of a serial child kidnapper/killer called the “Whisper Man” due to the fact he would stalk his victims and whisper at their windows prior to their abduction. The book begins with the abduction of a child – Neil Spencer, just like the ones some 20 years : Readerlink. 20 years after the Whisper Man is caught, another abduction takes place in Featherbank which forces DI Pete Willis, who caught the original Whisper Man to jump back into the scene. What unfolds from there is what The Whisper Man is all about. The writing is amazing. I still can't accept the fact that this is Alex North's debut novel/5(1K).

The Whisper Man by Alex North is a multi-generational thriller about a father and son caught in the crosshairs of an investigation to catch a serial killer preying on a small town. It’s been 20 years since DI Pete Willis caught a killer that was responsible for the death of (at least) five little boys, and he’s always been haunted by the fact that they never found the body of the.

It is almost like the author threw too many things into the book and none of it actually developed into a thrilling story. None of the “ingredients” melded together well enough, in my opinion, for a satisfying, much less scary, story.

The majority of the book was way more father-son relationship drama than anything else. WHISPER NETWORK by It’s a breezy page-turner of a book, which is the brilliance of it: Under the froth is an unmistakable layer of justified rage.
